Our Head Chef Joe Robinson honed his skills and knowledge in Michelin award winning restaurants. He has developed his passion for food working at opposite ends of the UK, from Edinburgh to Cornwall and opposite sides of the world, from Sydney to France. His experiences have taught him to enjoy and celebrate the fabulous and unique ingredients that are on your doorstep.

You can share in Joe’s passion of drawing on the best food producers in Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire to source fantastic meat, seafood, vegetables and dairy produce for his fresh and seasonal menus. Joe also loves foraging Morecambe Bay for sea herbs and at local hot spots for elderflower, wild garlic, mushrooms and more.
We are delighted that Joe’s knowledge, passion and skills have been recognised through the achievement of Two AA Rosettes at the Sun Inn.
